The restoration of the Connaught was in the owners’ visionary pipeline for several years. Now phase one is fundamentally complete, having taken over eighteen months of working to an intensively hands-on programme, involving the specialised skills and knowledge of experts in building, design, architecture and period restoration from around the world.

These cherry-picked teams were selected after months of careful scrutiny and worked towards an homogeneous commitment under the same distinctive set of values intrinsic to this legendary Mayfair landmark: to maintain and respect its core essence while enhancing its authentic and contemporary luxurious residential appeal. The structural restoration was done with meticulous attention to its pre-eminent period build; the infrastructure, from plumbing to wiring, has had a complete overhaul; the latest 21st century technology has replaced the last; the interior period features of note have been fastidiously and faithfully restored; and the contemporary additions have been introduced with sensitivity, charm and elegance, an advancement that is both beguiling and aesthetically rewarding.
